Antonis Papadakis is Deputy Chief Executive Officer of AEGEAN OIL S.A., with extensive experience in the fields of energy, shipping, and strategic management.
Since 2012, he has been leading the company’s strategic development, focusing on sustainability, operational excellence, and strengthening competitiveness in a dynamic global energy environment.
He is a retired officer of the Hellenic Navy, having served primarily in submarines as well as in staff positions within NATO, where he assumed, among other responsibilities, a leadership role in a multinational team at the Communications Center in Naples in 1992.
His military experience established a strong foundation in leadership, discipline, and crisis management.
He brings over 30 years of professional experience in the private sector, with significant activity across shipping, ship management, and energy markets.
He has held key positions at the Hellenic Register of Shipping and Eletson Corporation, gaining expertise in technical management, safety, and regulatory compliance.
For more than a decade at HELLENIC SEAWAYS S.A., where he served as General Manager and Chief Administrative Officer, he contributed significantly to the company’s modernization, organizational restructuring, and strategic transformation during a critical period for the Greek coastal shipping sector.
He joined the AEGEAN Group in 2011 and has since played a key role in strengthening the company’s international presence, developing new business activities, and advancing innovative energy solutions across the value chain.
He holds a degree in Communications Engineering, an MBA in Executive Management, and has completed the “Global Business” program at Harvard Business School Online.
